This is the Kyosho Super Alta VW Beetle, Kit no. 3056 from the early ’80′s.
The Super Alta chassis is an 1/10th scale electro 2-WD chassis with a 540-size motor which was placed in front of the rear axle. Direct drive with gear-differential in the right rear wheel. At the front it has indepent suspention on both wheels and the rear is a sort of ‘fixed power pod’ which is ‘fixed’ in the chassis and has a rubber plate on the bottom which allows a little movement. (*dead-beam rear axle)

4 wheel drive, detailed interior. Awesome car!
The body actually looks more like a 1/8 and it has a HIGHLY detailed cockpit as well. Features include double wishbone independent suspension on all wheels. Light and reliable friction type shock absorbers, full time 4WD shaft driven system, high power Le Mans 05 motor, rotary mechanical speed controller, KELRON chassis and suspension components, true to scale multi-piece wheels and Pirelli P-Zero treaded racing rubber radial tires!
